Our Programs

Camp Evergreen

At Camp Evergreen, students will be exposed to new levels of knowledge as they continue to develop their understanding of the world around them. By engaging in Camp Evergreen activities, students will learn about wildlife, energy and water conservation, recycling, enviro-tech, and creating their own goals for how they can reduce their own carbon footprint.

What to Bring

Clothing
Campers should wear casual, comfortable clothing, sturdy shoes, and bring a sweatshirt or jacket as the camp outdoor facilities may have unpredictable weather. Campers will receive a Camp Evergreen t-shirt on the first day of camp.
Food & Water
Please have your child have a fulfilling breakfast before attending camp. If you do not plan for your child to have the snacks provided, please send your child to camp with a bagged snack or lunch.  Please note that campers may not share food due to health and safety restrictions.

We provide areas for campers to store lunch boxes, water bottles and other belongings.

Additional Details

Lost and Found
Lost and found items will be kept in a designated spot throughout the week. Please check with your camp intern or parent volunteer if you believe an item of yours was left behind at camp. We are unable to store lost and found items once camp is over and will donate any unclaimed items at the conclusion of the final day of camp.
Sick Policy
Camp Evergreen strives to maintain a healthy environment for our campers and staff. If your child is sick and could possibly be contagious, please do not send him/her to camp. Please contact us at [email protected] to give notice of your child's absence. If a camper becomes sick while at camp, we will call a parent to come pick him/her up.
Behavior Issues
A camper who disrupts the camp experience for others may be asked to leave camp. We have a zero tolerance policy for hitting or inflicting physical harm on other campers; in those cases, parents will be contacted to pick up their child immediately.
What to Leave at Home
We ask campers to leave pets, toys, personal sports equipment, games, cards and electronic devices such as iPods, digital cameras, personal gaming devices and laptops at home, as Camp Evergeen cannot be responsible for these items if brought to camp. Please note that campers bringing cell phones to camp will be expected to set them aside and keep them silent. While we understand that cell phones are often necessary for contact or emergency purposes, we strongly discourage their use (whether calling or texting) during camp, as they become a big to distraction to all campers. We do not allow weapons, drugs, alcohol, tobacco or other banned substances at camp. Campers who ride bicycles or scooters to camp are responsible for locking and securing them on their own.
Emergency Preparedness & Injuries at Camp
Camp Evergreen has created a plan in case of fire, earthquake and other emergency situations. For medical emergencies, we will use the hospital closest to Camp Evergreen. At least two staff members certified in first aid and CPR is at camp at all times. The Camp Director will contact parents immediately if a child is injured in any way. If you need to contact your child or a staff member during camp, please contact the Camp Director at (408)-329-3589 or at [email protected]
