Camp Evergreen

"Nature-deficit disorder” can be linked to rises in childhood obesity, attention disorders, and even extreme depression. Camp Evergreen challenges this dilemma and has designed programs exposing communities to new fields of learning as they continue to foster a love of nature and develop their knowledge of the world around them. Through engaging in interactive activities in a variety of fields, participants learn about wildlife, energy and water conservation, recycling, enviro-tech, and can create goals for how they can reduce their own carbon footprint. We also encourage environmental stewardship by facilitating restoration programs throughout the Bay Area. Our ultimate goal is to develop leaders who make valuable impacts in our environment by establishing the need to preserve our planet.
